Modernity is a wound carved into the heart of the world, a wound which severs our bond to the sacred and thereby our capacity to dwell in our place in the deep divinity of the cosmos. Modernity inaugurates the age of the mechanical cosmos. And this reduction of the world to the status of the cosmic machine occludes the living presence of the sacred in all things. But we must rediscover those sacred depths. Against the machinic cosmos, our rediscovery and reintegration in the sacred flesh of the world.
